TONY HAWK'S UNDERGROUND
Published by: Activision and Neversoft
Platform: Game Cube
ERSB: T for Teen
OUR rating: 8/10
A totally new concept for the Tony Hawk games: You start by making your character. Wow. That's new. Wait! I'm not done: once you finish that, there is no cheezy goals to do, like collect "Skate" or stupid stuff like that, THERE IS A STORY LINE! You are a teen who is trying to become a pro. You start as a nobody, but than you get sponsored, become an Amateur, win some contests, and become a pro! If you were turned off by the Pro Skater games, don't worry, because this game is worth buying. It is funny, has a cool story (but kinda gets repetetive) and guarantees fun for at least 3 hours. It is not very long. In short, it's a good game to get, full of fun, a weird sense of humour, and of course skating. Did I mension you get to drive cars into rivers? Oh yeah.
Game description and comments:
A good game. You have 4 choices of difficulty: Too Easy, Easy, Normal and Sick. The first 3 are TOO easy, but Sick is TOO hard. Some of it is almost impossible. The graphics are good, no complaints there. The music is awesome: with over 40 real songs, you won't get bored. The themes are Rock, Punk, and Hip Hop. Great music for Skaters, except the hip hop. I think they put it in there because they couldn't find enough rock ;) It's original because it has a totally new concept, which is a ton better than completing as many goals as you can in 2 minutes. The first 2 were good, but then it got tedious. All in all though, a great game.
